Our Program

“EXCELLENCE is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”

– Pat Riley

At Zora’s Corgis, we take great pride in the way we raise our dogs. Each parent is matched with careful consideration to conformation, temperament, and genetics. All our puppies are cared for as our own in their first 8 weeks of life, and are socialized with humans, cats, and other dogs. With each generation of dogs, we are always striving to improve the breed as a whole.

We take our dogs’ health very seriously. We genetically test our breeding dogs for known breed-related conditions. We also have an orthopedic veterinarian x-ray our dogs’ hips and complete a PennHIP evaluation to screen for signs of hip dysplasia. While the genetics of hips are very complex, and hip screening does not guarantee future generations will develop hip dysplasia, we feel it is in the best interest of our dogs and their puppies to try and breed the healthiest dogs possible. Finally, our dogs visit a canine opthamologist to screen for eye conditions that may not be picked up on a genetic test.

In our program, we include many elements of puppy socialization, handling, and husbandry techniques from the Badass Breeder curriculum. We believe in giving our puppies the best start possible by starting to teach them how to be a part of the family from early on in their lives. We utilize the “Empowered Puppy” evaluation to help us match each puppy personality with their perfect forever home.

We want to give our puppies (and their families!) the best opportunity for lifelong health. We stand behind our dogs and provide lifetime support to our puppy families. From start to finish, you are a part of the Corgi family!

We are proud members of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). Our breeding dogs and puppies are CKC registered, and those that we have imported from the US are also American Kennel Club (AKC) registered.
